Dave's General Conference Day Baptisms

Well you have all been asking about the baptisms and the work. Well I´ll just have to say that Saturday was one of the best days of my mission. Of course it was conference and it was amazing, but also Felipe, Mari, Silvia and Yohana all got baptized in between the session. It was an amazing baptismal service! A couple other missionaries had some baptisms also, so we did it all together. I bet you could imagine all of the members that were there to support the baptism. We couldn't even fit everyone in the baptismal room so that they could see the baptisms. We had the service in the Sacrament room. It was quite the spiritual experience. It was so big that the stake took over it and directed it. We had a special musical number that all of the missionaries did. We all sang ¨Come unto me."
I loved the Conferences. There were so many great talks. I also loved Elder Hollands talk. The spirit was so strong during that talk. Dad i also liked that talk in the Priesthood session by Pres. Uchtdorf about not loosing our focus. I love our prophet. I know that he was called of God. I received that confirmation again that he is God´s prophet. As I was sitting there, listening to conference, I couldn't help but think how perfect the church it. How could anyone not believe that this is God's Kingdom here on the earth? I'm so grateful to have the testimony that I have, and to be part of the only true Church.

This is a picture to put Dad's mind at ease while he's off sunbathing in Arizona. He's comforted knowing that the farm equipment is tucked safely under its covers and out of the stormy weather. What I want to know is where he's planning on putting his fifth-wheeler when he gets homesick!!

One Good Lookin' Couple

Here's a picture taken at a "photo op" that we happened upon last time we were in Hollywood. It a pic of the glamorous Catherine Hepburn and the rough and tumble John Wayne after filming "Ruster Cogbern and the Lady."

Summer Reunion in Harmony

Hello Family! This is the beginning of the year 2009 and the beginnings of Gordon's technology learning curve. He's beginning a blog to allow family members (and any friends that may be as technologically savy) to log on and stay updated. As you do so, please leave comments or postings of your own!
